ABOUT OAHU DOLPHIN DIVERS
The boat South Seas II has been plying the waters of the leeward coast of Oahu for over 20 years taking thousands of divers out to Oahu’s favorite snorkel and dive destinations! The South Seas II is the only dive boat in operation on the west side of Oahu.
Dr. Matthew Zimmerman purchased the business, and its coveted permit to operate on the west coast, in 2017. This “About Us” update is being written in 2024, making it 24 years in the scuba and snorkeling industry. The South Seas II is the dive boat Honolulu Scuba Company is utilizing for exclusive access to west-side dive sites and is also owned by Matt (me).
Oahu Dolphin Divers is in a unique position since the pandemic. There is no longer a dive operator in Ko Olina harbor, and our only competitor in Waianae stopped operating scuba charters in 2020. So if you want to go scuba diving on the west side, we are your best (and only) choice. We don’t take that for granted though, as still strive to provide 5 star service to earn the 5 star reviews. Since we have the only lava tube dives available by charter, if you are staying in town, you should probably take at least one day to make the drive to Waianae. Besides the beauty of the area, the water is calmer, and the dive and snorkel sites are unique to the island.
We also make our vessel available on a first come first serve basis for private charters. Our online booking system will block out any time slot for a private charter that is booked prior to any individual booking. We can handle both scuba diving and snorkeling on our private charters, up to 20 people.
Dolphin Divers operates on the west coast of Oahu only. It is part of a larger water sport group that includes Snorkel with Turtles in East Oahu, Island Divers Hawaii is East Oahu and Honolulu Scuba Company near downtown Honolulu. We have experience, and we know how to take care of people. We’d love to do that for you!
